From Space to Space - The paradoxical postmodern human and his motifs for travelling in conflict of material and immaterial objectness
There are many ways to travel and accordingly various motivations to move. The project >>From Space to Space<< concerns the phenomenon of an increasing trend to travel and researches how travelling and therefore the motives/motifs to travel has changed in postmodernism. Paradoxical antagonisms in motives are explained by representative items and image motifs. The academic point of view is supported and questioned through examples with a design background. The double meaning of the word >>motive/motif<< enables to bridge between incentive and allegory. Equivalents are reaching from mobile products to architectural designs up to advertising strategies. Place and movement in the transit zone are presented as key elements to impart and save experiences.
