What does typography tell about peoples’ lives? Typeline is a website telling the history of typography without chronological order. 8 adjectives describe 8 historical eras confronting artistic manifests with political facts and the design of typography. These parts are visualized within a grid which is strictly based on rectangles in 4 different dimensions. You can never see the full grid whereas the white space is partly interrupted by words fading in during scrolling. The digital medium allows hierarchy without order while the young generations reading behavior requires different handling with typography. The photographs shown at the beginning of the project are examining the remains of the eras typography today. They show typography is constantly changing with Peoples lives.
