Tales from Ireland
Ireland – for many that is a synonym for green meadows and rolling hills, mystical places and traditional music. But apart from this stereotypical view, the tourist places and pubs, there is also a thriving daily, urban life. This is the Ireland Maria Siebenhaar’s pictures tell us about. The country’s history is always a part of Irish people’s lives. After a long history of hard economic times we see today a traditional yet modern society which looks to the future with optimism. The pictures of Maria Siebenhaar, all taken during several travels to Ireland in 2012, are classical analogue black and white pictures and refer to this mix of the traditional and modern. Let us be part of these little tales of everyday life in Ireland.
