Traveling with a Backpack - Development of an Adaptive Backpack System for Globetrotters
This Bachelor thesis aims to find a new solution for backpackers that encourages them to find their own way to explore the world and get to know other cultures and people. It is a backpack that adapts to variable ways of transportation and different environments that travelers face nowadays. It keeps the belongings of the traveler save and accessible. Therefor the luggage is designed as two separate pieces. A Daypack with a supportive back-system that keeps valuable things and is ready for small trips and sports and a removable top part that keeps mainly clothes. It can be used as a shoulder bag or a hanging cabinet in a hostel. The two parts can be used together as well as separate. Like this it is very flexible and allows the traveler to focus on exploring a new place instead of worrying about his belongings.
