What is an onsen egg? It is a conventional chicken egg which is cooked for one hour at a constant, low temperature. This special cooking method creates an egg which differs greatly in taste and texture from a normal boiled egg. The yolk has an intense flavor and a creamy, smooth texture. After you have tried one, you will never want to eat a normal egg again! Recently, the onsen egg found its way from Japan to top German gastronomy. However, it has not yet entered the private household.  For the first time, you can prepare a tasty and nutritious onsen egg at home, simply and efficiently, using this newly developed device. The device can be placed next to the tea kettle, or even on a fancy wooden table laid with high-quality porcelain.
