Modular Living/ A new living concept for dorms
There are very cramped housing conditions in many school dorms. The housing space must function as a living room, a dining room, a study, a bedroom, and in part a bathroom. On top of all this, the furniture remains in the living space throughout the entirety of the day. This project shows the evolution of a modular living concept, which is adaptable to its particular resident. The project will generate a more useful area at an equal number of square meter. To accomplish, that only the necessary furniture, which is need for the present activity, will be displayed. The resident is able to adapt his room to accommodate his/her preferences and needs. Additionally, the concept offers more stowage, which is situated in the until now unused ceiling space. The new living concept offers more useful living space and lets the room seem to be bigger and more open.
