The work "Illusion" discusses how technical advances in the field of movies visual effects affect and alter the perception of illusions. Computer generated images, chroma key intakes and compositings are mastering the world of visual effects of todays blockbusters. So created scenes are appearing much more realistic in comparison to elder techniques. The results are nearly perfect deceptions. But haven't they lost a bit of their magic? Because almost everyone knows that one is able to create the most unbelievable scenario if one is capable to use the required computer techniques? Because we would first start wondering again if there would be a starship actually crashing into San Francisco? The installation shows objects that mix old analog techniques with digital approaches ones. It's gonna be time to marvel.
