GROWTH - an interactive exhibition about types of mathematical growth
Subject of this thesis is the visualisation of mathematical ideas in three-dimensional space. The final result is an installation that could be part of a broader exhibition or a museum about maths. The objects show a small section of mathematical theory: the different types of growth. It tries to turn the abstract concepts into an interactive experience for the visitors, who are invited to engage with the exhibition directly. The project was inspired by the growing number of successful educational entertainment channels on the video portal YouTube. These try to process complex matters from different fields of science to a general, mostly younger, audience. The underlying concepts of these videos were analysed and transferred to spatial design.
