FlexForCFK User Interface
The thesis focuses on the development of a user interface for the computer numerical controlled, form-flexible tool FlexForCFK to manufacture components made of carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP). The FlexForCFK is a R&D project carried out by the Munich University of Applied Sciences and the Technische Hochschule Nürnberg. The aim of this project is to simplify the complex and lengthy production process of CFRP for prototypes and small series. The task is to design a user-friendly and ergonomic UI for the FlexForCFK machine so as to optimize the manufacturing process. Based on the results from usability tests and the market research, the UI has been optimized and integrated into the FlexForCFK control system.
