"Come to my home, Ma'am."
India is known as the land of colors, the land of love, as a fast-growing economy. And as the land of contrasts. They occur through religion, caste, education, and gender. Yet the most obvious difference is the one between rich and poor. This gap is shown most in megalopolises like New Delhi. In the shadow of skyscrapers, mansions, and luxury hotels, there are huge, poorly developed areas, where the poorest of the poor have built their homes. Slums. We accompanied seven children who live there and hardly profit from the economic growth of their country. What we knew already: It's unfair. What we learned: context matters.
