Blickmuster – change through digitalisation
You might have caught yourself having problems with orientation when not using Google Maps, or occasionally paying more attention to your smartphone than to your actual counterpart. Maybe you have even thought of undoing something that happened in real life via the keyboard shortcut „Undo“. As a bookazine, Blickmuster brings up the topic „change through digitalization“ and examines particular phenomenons of our time that reflect how perception and culture constantly develop under the influence of digital media. Such Transitions often come up in societal discourses. One of these discussions constitutes the main feature of the first issue. Its´s about a word that hasn´t been known for long, tough spread like wildfire because of online media: Skeuomorphism. An expression, that was utterly misunderstood right from the beginning, but nevertheless came to be a frequently quoted vogue word.
