Movability as Emotional Benefit
Starting point of this project is the theoretical engagement with the movability of everyday objects and the perception of movement. The effect of movable objects on people and the associated additional value is of specific importance. This theoretical approach is put into practice with an LED light fixture, applying movability as a central design element, both functional and emotional. The two separately movable arms allow flexible but precise illumination within a range of motion of 1,80 m. The look and feel of the light fixture changes with every adjustment. The arms meet in the lamp head and close the electric circuit forming a semicircle which features the illuminant.
