6322 – Inventory
How many things are people gathering throughout their lives and what kind of things are these? What can these things tell us about their owners? To what extend do things characterize the people who own them? These questions lead to my Bachelor thesis. It's titled "6322", because that's the number of things I possess. The first part of the book contains all these things: numbered, described and photographed. In addition to this inventory I read books, newspaper articles, texts and poems on the subjects of property and consumption. Out of this pool of texts I picked quotations and short texts to complement the first part of the book. The second part "The Résumé" contains the evaluation of my experiment. The collected data of the first part is getting visualized and explained through infographics. The question how much of our personality is revealed by our belongings, is answered here.
